Job description The Chief Financial Officer(CFO) is a hands-on position that requires a working knowledge of a broad range of accounting disciplines, including financial and management accounting, group consolidation, cashflow reporting, compliance reporting, budget preparation, M&A, business integration, and systems development and improvement. Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication are critical to the position. The ability to lead a finance team to achieve departmental and business finance demands is fundamental, as is understanding protocol when interacting with management and maintaining high sensitivity and confidentiality. The CFO will ensure that all financial responsibilities are delivered and that there is a focus on the delivery of the group\xe2\x80\x99s strategic and business objectives. The role will provide leadership, vision, and direction within the Finance team, managing the delivery of high-quality financial support services and advising the Board and Management teams on all aspects of financial management. The successful applicant would be a dynamic CFO with a background of working in complex privately owned business groups. We need someone with experience operating successfully at a group level and a strong commercial understanding of running complex, diverse real estate businesses. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the executive leadership team to define the organization\'s financial vision and strategic direction, conducting thorough financial analysis to identify growth opportunities, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
• Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and monitoring performance against targets.
• Develop and implement financial plans and initiatives to support business objectives, utilizing accurate financial forecasting models.
• Review financial statements, ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, maintaining robust internal controls and facilitating financial audits.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives, analyze operational processes and identify cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Establish strong relationships with external stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, professional development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Professional Accounting qualification (CA/CPA) with proven expertise in Financial and Management Accounting & Reporting
• Strong core finance technical skills (deep understanding of Balance Sheets, Cash flow statements, and P&L) and precise knowledge of Finance & Accounting Standards (IFRS), Controls & processes
• Robust Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience with exposure to senior management
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and Standards, Compliances, local financial regulations and Iraq Taxation system
• Strong analytical skills (linking results to drivers), ability to think strategically and influence business decisions using appropriate, fact-based financial information
• Planning and execution expertise, strong process orientation
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and oral communications skills at all levels (junior to senior leadership)
• 8-12 years of well-rounded experience in a similar position
• Experience with ERP (SAP \xe2\x80\x93 FICO, BPC, BI, etc.) and information systems, including planning, implementation, and monitoring
• Arabic Language (Native)
