Overall Role Purpose
As CFO of Morocco (including Mauritania and Tunisia - run by agent) you will own all financial aspects in terms of planning, analysis and management of all financial matters, by partnering, advising and challenging the country senior management team and influencing the strategic direction whilst maintaining financial transparency and adherence to financial policies, supporting project work as well as the broader business development agenda.

Details
Manage and control Division Finance activities in the areas of controlling, financial reporting and control, budgeting, accounting, Net Working Capital, investment, tax and fiscal related and risk management matters in accordance with the group policies and guidelines and local business environment.
  • Key senior member of Division Country Management team
  • Focus on ensuring positive business impact of Finance within own area, Business partner of Morocco CEO/ Management: Provide financial support to CEO as well as assist him and his team to grow the business strategically via financial/business decision support, business risk assessment, etc.
  • Full responsibility for all financial information in Morocco, including P&L, Balance Sheet and statutory accounts.
  • Professional leader and line manager for the country finance team of c. XX in size
  • Provide leadership in the definition of the local finance & controlling strategy, policies and procedures within overall Country context, underpinning the success of the business
  • Provide guidance and consulting on Financial matters to senior business team, drawing on specialist colleagues as needed to highlight key issues
  • Ensure Financial service delivery, process improvement, change implementation of financial changes, Manage service relationship with specific business unit/ area for range of Financial services
  • Approve off monthly IFRS financial statement on top of Moroccan Local Statutory Statements and tax filings
  • Set direction and strategies for controlling and accounting for the country to ensure that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations standards.
  • Establish financial goals and monitor their implementation on the country level and ensure that a red flag system is in place to report problems in a timely manner
  • Lead, direct, and control the organization’s financial resources to maintain the short and long-term financial health of a region or market zone business.
  • Ensure proper billing and cash collection processes are in place in the country
  • Improve cash flow via cash collections thru KPIs like, DSO, over 60 days etc. and management of payables, manages treasury transactions
  • Act as Compliance Champion and ensure all finance and non-finance processes are all compliant
  • Ensure high level customer experience via Financial Query Handling Services
  • Establish, improve and maintain KPIs (global and local) that pertain to the Finance function nationally, to ensure teams meet requirements

Expected years of experience
  • 10 years of experience in various finance functions accompanied by a wide experience at senior level in a service-oriented business
  • Previous CFO / Finance Director experience for a medium size country entity
  • Qualified Accountant, experience local country regulations and IFRS
  • Team leadership
  • Proven experience dealing with senior stakeholders, being a member of the country / sub-regional senior management


Educational Qualifications
  • Finance-related university degree with focus on Finance/Accounting or equivalent qualification)
