Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and update robust financial forecasts and projections based on business cases agreed with CEO and/or other senior management team members
  • Represent the company in investor presentations and manage due diligence process
  • Ensure effective controls and monitoring for day to day operations of the department
  • Manage the Treasury and Finance functions
  • Oversee the recruitment and development of a team of Finance and Treasury competent professionals
  • Develop a high performing Finance function through effective leadership, mentoring, and coaching
  • Ensure IFRS is adopted for financial reporting
  • Work closely with HR in the execution of the People Plan
  • Work closely with IT to select and implement the IT infrastructure to support finance, treasury and reporting requirements Ensure accurate and timely submission of external and internal reports and information packs to regulatory bodies, board committees, investors etc
  • Oversee the ongoing development of all policies and procedures for Finance and Treasury
Assist the CEO in day-to-day leadership
  • Support the CEO and Executive Committee on all Finance and Treasury related matters
  • Support the development and implementation of bank wide strategy
  • Oversee and implement financial and treasury strategies and requisite control environments * Liaise with senior regulatory contacts as required
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with correspondent banking partners
  • Responsible for the External and Internal Audit relationships
Finance And Treasury Responsibilities
  • Financial Accounting and Reporting - Ensure IFRS compliant financial statements are prepared
  • Internal Controls - Ensure comprehensive internal controls are implemented
  • Management Reporting - Ensure comprehensive monthly management accounts are prepared
  • External Audit - ensure clean audit opinions are received from External Audit on matters of accountancy.
  • Internal Audit - ensure all internal audit observations are implemented on a timely basis.
  • Regulatory Reporting - ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of FSRA COREP, FINREP and LCR reporting
  • Capital Adequacy and Liquidity - Implement robust processes to monitor liquidity and capital adequacy
  • Technology - implement fit for purpose accounting software and ensure adequate ongoing controls exist post-implementation
  • Accounts Payable - ensure all requisite internal controls are in operation internally in relation to the Accounts Payable process
  • Payroll - ensure all requisite internal controls are in operation internally in relation to the accounting and processing of Payroll
  • Treasury - provide full accounting support to Treasury.
  • HQLA Investments - provide full accounting support for all investments in HQLA
  • Annual Budget Process - co-ordinate the budget process using zero based budget principles . Provide Actual vs. Budget analysis in monthly Management Reporting
  • Custodian Relationship - work with Operations in the selection process for a global custodian * Accounting System - adopt role of subject matter expert in the implementation of the Finance system, Microsoft Dynamics
Experience:
  • Graduate Degree from a recognized Academic Institution
  • Professional Accounting Qualification from Recognised Accounting Institute
  • 15 + years of Experience in Financial Services ideally with prior experience of working in a regulated financial firm
  • Experience in creating and institutionalising a finance function from scratch desirable
  • Experience of IFRS Reporting
  • Strong product knowledge of money market and capital markets products
  • Experience in implementing technology enabled change programs desirable
  • Experience of working at both a tactical operational as well as at a strategic level

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED65,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
