Emirates Talent Solution is seeking an experienced
Chief Accountant
with a strong background in the signage and outdoor media advertising industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial accounting, reporting, and compliance functions while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills to oversee accounting activities and support the Finance Manager in strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and business planning.
Accounts Management:
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger functions.
Ensure timely closing of monthly and yearly accounts.
Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring efficient financial operations.
Tax & Compliance:
Ensure VAT compliance and timely tax filings as per UAE regulations.
Work with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and tax matters.
Maintain proper documentation for financial records and audits.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor expenses and ensure cost optimization.
Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.
Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
Team Coordination & Leadership:
Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance staff.
Provide training to ensure compliance with financial policies and best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to improve financial efficiency.
Key Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting & Finance or an equivalent qualification.
Certifications:
CA, CMA, ACCA (qualified or part-qualified preferred).
Experience:
7-10 years in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role within the
signage & outdoor media industry
(Required).
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of UAE accounting and taxation laws.
Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, MS-Dynamics, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism in handling financial data.
