Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced
Chief Accountant
with a strong background in thereal estate industry
to oversee and manage our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding ofUAE accounting regulations
,IFRS
,VAT compliance
, andreal estate financial management
. This role involves handling financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation of
financial statements, reports, and forecasts
in compliance with IFRS and UAE financial regulations. Manageaccounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
functions. EnsureVAT compliance
, timely filing of VAT returns, and reconciliation of VAT accounts. Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annualclosing activities
andfinancial reconciliations
. Monitor and manage the company'scash flow, liquidity, and investment strategies
. Develop and implementinternal controls, financial policies, and procedures
to ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist in thepreparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
for business decision-making. Coordinate withexternal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
to ensure compliance with financial regulations. Providefinancial insights and recommendations
to senior management for strategic planning. Manage financial transactions related toreal estate sales, leasing, and property management
. Ensure propercost control, expense management, and revenue tracking
within the real estate operations.Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
.CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CA certification
is highly preferred.5+ years of experience in accounting
, preferably in thereal estate sector
within the UAE. In-depth knowledge ofUAE VAT laws, IFRS, and local financial regulations
. Strong experience infinancial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
. Proficiency inERP accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
. Excellentanalytical, problem-solving, and leadership
skills. Strong communication skills and ability to interact withstakeholders, investors, and management
. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Preferred Experience:
Experience working with
real estate developers, property management companies, or investment firms
. Familiarity withreal estate transactions, escrow accounts, and RERA compliance
. * Understanding ofbank financing, project cost control, and feasibility analysis
in the real estate sector.
