You will be actively working in the Innovation Center team and interact with the rest of the department to collaboratively evaluate and execute Fields of Action (FoA) co-creation projects

Your profile

• University degree in chemical/process engineering or similar field (Master/Diploma) or comparable qualification.
• 5-10 years of work experience in chemical, petrochemical, or industrial plants.
• Understanding of the customer industries (Chemical, Fuels, Steel, Cement) and demonstrated experience in customer engagement.
• Good knowledge of process simulation tools (e.g. HYSIM).
• Understanding of business cases. Capability of running high level economics and calculation of Levelized Costs of X.
• Capacity to be creative in solution development while understanding the risks and feasibility of technical solutions.
• Experience in commissioning of plants to be able to understand the practical problems of operation is a plus.
• Demonstrated collaborations skills (\xe2\x80\x9ccultural broker\xe2\x80\x9d capable of bringing together different parts of the organization).
• Driver for quick results and follow through across teams.
• Very good English language skills.

Your responsibilities

Work with customers and local teams on the development of improved scalable process design modules and innovative solutions to ensure competitiveness for hybrid and complex energy systems and energy efficient designs.

• Assess the impact of novel process or technology concepts being pursued on the overall plant energy usage and operation.

Responsible for the comparison of the different options from a techno-commercial point of view in the early phase of the project:

o Conducting CAPEX, OPEX calculations of novel process designs by use of process simulation tools.

o Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes.

o Prepare ready-made scalable design modules / packages for most common processes.

Bring together resources from inside and outside the organization (e.g technology providers) to support the development of the concept (e.g. renewable power experts, etc).

Work with the local business development team to prepare concepts and indicative pricing.

Liaise with and update management about the solution under development.

When the projects move to the firm phase:

o Support the development of the Basis of Design for the customer.

o Remain engaged and keep interacting with the customer.

o Support the knowledge-building around the energy system design.

• Foster a collaborative work ethic within the team and the ICA.
• Effectively communicate with multiple functional groups (Business Areas, Global Innovation Centers, Customers).
