Food Safety and Hygiene: Comply with all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients to ensure food safety and prevent cross-contamination.
Ingredient Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and measuring spices, to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal production.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the culinary team, including chefs and sous chefs, to coordinate and prioritize tasks, maintain an organized kitchen environment, and meet production goals.
Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all equipment, utensils, and supplies are properly stored and readily available for use.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, including ingredients and kitchen supplies, and notify the appropriate personnel when replenishment is needed.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to menu development, recipe refinement, and process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of our meal plan service.
Training and Mentoring: Support the development of junior kitchen staff, providing guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to ensure their growth and success.
Requirements:
Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen environment, demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques and recipe execution.
Dietary Knowledge: Familiarity with various dietary restrictions and preferences, and the ability to adapt recipes accordingly.
Food Safety Certification: Possession of relevant food safety and sanitation certifications, demonstrating knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently when necessary.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in food preparation, portioning, and plating to ensure consistency and quality.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, menus, and production requirements in response to customer demands.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy pots or equipment, and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding kitchen environment.
