Demi Chef de Partie
In-Room Dining, Shangri-La Qaryat al Beri, Abu Dhabi
We have a great opportunity for a talented chef to join our Culinary team in In-Room Dining. The successful applicant will have a passion for their craft and bring an advanced and varied skillset to the role.
What we are looking for?
1+ years experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel.
Apprenticeship or College Level with basic / intermediate knowledge of Food Hygiene.
Experience with Chinese cuisine.
Past experience preparing high quality dishes.
Lives & Breathes the Shangri-La values.
What will you do?
Check all set-ups in the restaurant functions and to coordinate all specific duties to employees under his supervision.
Ensure consistency and highest quality of food taste, temperature and presentation.
Maintain strict control on food portioning and wastage, ensuring gross food profitability.
Ensure that staff follow the hygiene and sanitation procedures when handling food / equipment / utensils.
Ensure smooth and effective communication among the kitchens and with other departments.
Liaise and work closely with the Stewarding department for pre-planning and execution of delivery and cleanliness of equipment.
