The Charge Hand assists the Foreman in supervising construction site operations. Responsible for overseeing a team of workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications. Acts as a link between the Foreman and the workforce to maintain smooth workflow and high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily work of laborers and skilled tradesmen.
Assign tasks and ensure timely completion according to project plans.
Monitor quality of work to meet technical and safety standards.
Assist the Foreman in planning and execution of site activities.
Maintain discipline and ensure workers adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Report progress, challenges, and manpower requirements to the Foreman.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.
Train and mentor new workers as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum
3 years of experience
in the construction field.
Proven experience in construction or a specific trade (e.g., masonry, plumbing, electrical).
Leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and site procedures.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work under supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
