A

Fit-Out Charge-Hand

plays a pivotal role in managing and executing interior construction and refurbishment projects. For this position one should have blends hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities to ensure high-quality delivery of fit-out works--often in commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential settings.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision

: Lead and coordinate a team of tradespeople and subcontractors on-site.

Project Execution

: Oversee daily fit-out activities including partitioning, ceilings, flooring, joinery, and finishes.

Quality Control

: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets design specifications and quality standards.

Health & Safety

: Enforce safety protocols and conduct risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.

Material Management

: Ensure timely availability of tools, equipment, and materials; authorize minor purchases if needed.

Reporting

: Provide progress updates to site supervisors or project managers; maintain accurate records of work completed.

Problem Solving

: Address on-site issues swiftly to avoid delays or rework.

Training & Mentorship

: Support junior staff and apprentices with on-the-job training and guidance.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in interior fit-out or general construction. Strong leadership and communication abilities. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with construction safety standards and compliance. Skilled in using hand and power tools relevant to fit-out work. Time management and multitasking under pressure.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry, joinery, or construction is a plus. Certification in health and safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is advantageous. Previous experience as a senior tradesperson or assistant foreman preferred.

UAE Driving License

will be added advantage.
