The Change and Release Analyst is responsible for ensuring the efficient and controlled execution of IT changes and releases while minimizing risk and disruption to business operations. This role involves coordinating, assessing, and managing changes and releases in accordance with ITIL v3 and v4 best practices, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation.
Key Responsibilities:

Change Management:
Ensure that all
Change Requests
follow the defined
Change Management process
, including assessment, approval, scheduling, and review.
Facilitate
Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
, ensuring effective risk assessment and impact analysis for proposed changes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to
categorize and prioritize changes
based on business impact and urgency.
Ensure compliance with
IT governance policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
.
Maintain the
Change Schedule
to minimize conflicts and ensure alignment with business operations.
Conduct
post-implementation reviews (PIRs)
and document lessons learned to enhance future change processes.
Maintain
Change Management documentation, KPIs, and reports
to drive continuous improvement.
Release Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee
software/application releases, patches, and infrastructure upgrades
.
Ensure that releases are
bundled, tested, and deployed
in accordance with the organization's release strategy.
Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, QA, and Change teams to ensure smooth
release planning and execution
.
Maintain the
Release Calendar
, ensuring alignment with business needs and minimizing disruptions.
Validate
release readiness
, ensuring all pre- and post-deployment activities are completed successfully.
Implement
automated deployment tools
and DevOps practices where applicable.
Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of
ITIL v3 and ITIL v4 Change & Release Management principles

Strong understanding of Agile best practices
Experience with
Change and Release Management tools
and ITSM tools.
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and automated deployment tools, particularly within Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with
incident, problem, and service management processes

Understanding of
risk assessment and impact analysis
in IT change and release processes.
