The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Category Manager to join our ecommerce team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve profitability within their assigned product categories. Key Responsibilities: Category Strategy & Planning o Develop category strategies aligned with business goals and customer needs o Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitors o Set performance targets (revenue, profitability, conversion) Product Selection & Assortment o Build and manage a relevant, competitive product mix o Coordinate with marketing and merchandising for promotions o Onboard new brands and suppliers Supplier & Vendor Management o Foster strong vendor relationships for favorable terms o Negotiate pricing, margins, and exclusive deals o Monitor supplier performance and compliance Pricing & Promotions o Create dynamic pricing strategies to stay competitive o Plan and execute promotions with marketing o Adjust pricing based on competitor analysis Sales Performance & Optimization o Track key KPIs (sales, AOV, conversions) o Boost category performance through cross-selling/upselling o Optimize listings and campaigns with digital marketing Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination o Maintain optimal stock levels and reduce overstock o Collaborate with logistics for timely fulfillment o Forecast demand using historical and seasonal data Data Analysis & Reporting o Analyze category data to uncover growth opportunities o Generate regular reports on performance and trends o Use insights to enhance customer experience and conversions.



Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. o Experience: 5-10 years in category management, buying, or merchandising, preferably in e-commerce. o Strong knowledge of digital commerce, online retail, and marketplace dynamics.
