QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Knowledge:
  • Experience in ERP system is an advantage (preferably SAP). Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools.
Skills:
  • Highly numerate, possess excellent analytical reasoning & critical thinking skills. Ability to think and act strategically with strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, project management and performance management capabilities.
  • Strong expertise in identifying, executing and achieving sourcing strategies and initiatives that are aligned to business objectives.
  • Experience in market research & analysis, supplier identification & qualification, tender process, contract management and setting of tangible and robust performance criteria.
  • Effective use of procurement tools such as Spend Analytics, e-Procurement, electronic tendering/e-Auctions etc. at an advanced level.
  • Sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative across departments, with the ability to influence change.
  • Strong leadership and management skills. Able to motivate, stimulate and influence teams/individuals.
  • Customer focused, results orientated, self-motivator and a team player.
  • Principled leadership with sound business ethics and consistency with principles, values and behaviour.
  • Fluency in written and oral English is mandatory.
Education:
  • Minimum bachelor\'s degree, preferably from the following disciplines: Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in Purchasing, Sourcing, Category and/or Supplier management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience in the management of complex tenders, contract management and supplier/stakeholder relationship management.
  • Strong expertise in the logistics category, ideally within the local market. Knowledge of the Packaging category is a plus.

JOB ACTIVITIES
  • Deliver a category management approach to procurement which will migrate the department from transaction based to long term strategic partnership-based procurement.
  • Develop & execute category and sub-category strategies and procurement projects within the overall responsibility, to ensure that savings and efficiencies are maximized.
  • Develop and deploy expertise/solutions within the category to achieve optimum value. Leverage on affiliate spend, consolidation opportunities.
  • Provide support to departments as required, to ensure the best interests of the organization are protected and promoted.
  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers that contribute to performance management, enhance control of the supply chain, and promote a partnered approach to strategic suppliers.
  • Support the development of the contract process, ensuring robust contracts are established and
  • compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support procurement-related negotiations which fall outside the current strategies, to ensure savings and value for money and efficiencies are secured and that coaching and mentoring is deployed to the business in the process.
  • Provide support, guidance or training to end users, acting as an ambassador for Procurement within the organization.
  • Work collaboratively within the team and across departments, to develop effective and efficient business practices.

  • Implement and execute a strategic approach for the responsible categories, and promote purchasing knowledge within the organization.

  • Strict adherence and compliance towards Group Procurement policies (Human Rights, Fundamentals of Purchasing, Anti-Corruption etc.), HSE Charter & MAESTRO requirement and affiliate\'s HSEQ Policy, Procedures & specific rules & regulations applicable to the area of activity at all times.
  • Demonstrates exemplary conduct, rigor, vigilance, and professionalism regarding HSE in all their activities
  • Ensure adherence to compliance processes and guidelines specific to position\'s roles and responsibilities.
