We're looking for a strategic and commercially focused
Category Head
to lead product category performance across our food distribution business. You'll drive sales, profitability, and market share by developing data-driven strategies, optimizing assortments, and managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead category strategy across multiple food segments to maximize growth and margin.
Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor data to shape plans.
Identify new product and pricing opportunities to grow category performance.
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
Collaborate with supply chain, marketing, sales, and finance for end-to-end execution.
Oversee assortment planning, inventory health, and replenishment accuracy.
Lead and mentor category managers and support staff.
Monitor KPIs and adjust strategies to meet business goals.
Qualifications:
5+ years in category management or buying within food/FMCG.
Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
Proven track record in driving category growth and profitability.
Analytical mindset with data-led decision making.
Experience across retail or wholesale channels is a plus.
Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).
