Job Summary:



We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven

Category Head - Battery & Solar Products

to lead our dynamic team and drive the growth of our battery and solar product categories. As the Category Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the product portfolio, identifying market opportunities, developing strategies for growth, and ensuring that products meet customer needs while achieving financial objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, procurement, and supply chain, to ensure the seamless execution of category strategies.

Key Responsibilities:



Category Strategy Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy for batteries and solar products, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Regularly review market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to optimize category performance.

Product Portfolio Management:


Manage and grow the product portfolio within the battery and solar categories. Oversee product selection, pricing, and lifecycle management, ensuring the right products are available to meet customer needs and business objectives.

Market Analysis & Forecasting:


Conduct detailed market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies. Use data-driven insights to forecast demand, set pricing strategies, and plan for product launches.Collaborate with sales, marketing, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure that product development, marketing campaigns, and sales strategies align with category objectives.Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times, ensuring the company receives competitive and high-quality products.Own the P&L for the battery and solar product categories, tracking sales, margins, and profitability. Monitor financial performance against targets and take corrective actions when necessary.Ensure that the product offering aligns with customer needs and expectations. Work with the customer support team to resolve product-related issues and gather feedback to inform product development.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the category. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in category management, product management, or business development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the battery, solar, or related renewable energy industries.

Education:


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of the battery and solar industries, including product types, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements. Proven track record of developing and executing successful category strategies. Excellent financial acumen and experience managing P&L. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform decisions. Leadership and team management experience, with a focus on mentoring and development. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
