Required Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Geography, GIS or a related field.Desired Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a GIS Editor / Analyst.
- Proficiency in ArcMAP Symbology.
- Exposure to Adobe photoshop plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cartographer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in crafting informative and visually appealing maps that communicate geographic information effectively. You will utilize your expertise in cartographic principles, software, and design to create maps for various purposes, serving diverse audiences.- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software for data analysis, map creation, and editing.
- Understanding of different Map Scale and products.
- Expertise in topogrpahic map sheets and Map preparation.
- Perform Map quality control checks to identify and correct errors in data attributes and geometry.
- Standardize symbology according to organizational guidelines.
- Create and maintain Symbols and fonts to use specific custom preparation.
- Expertise in map layout, map series and map publishing.
- Analyze and troubleshoot data issues when needed.
- Expertise in Data Versioning and data validation.
- Collaborate with GIS Analysts, data providers, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and usability.
- Communicate effectively to explain data issues and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
