Job Description

The position is for a skilled person with good knowledge and experience of the processes of Cartography, primarily using Autodesk, Bentley and ESRI software, essentially for the marine Oil and Gas sector.

A good understanding of geomatics, geo-data, geo-data handling, including the roles of geodesy and map projections is required.

The candidate should have a sound knowledge of the use of mapping symbology, as well as map and diagram design, for presentation and reporting purposes. Further to this, a sound understanding of Geographic Information Systems and the role they play in the onshore and offshore Oil and Gas Sector, is required. This should include the importance of the role of metadata and geo-data, database implementation and use, as well as geo-data analysis.

A preference for Lisp routine and Python script writing is also identified.

The candidate should be versatile and flexible to changing situations and capable of interacting with many diverse personnel.
