Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of carpenters in formwork, shuttering, and carpentry activities for substation buildings and associated civil structures. Interpret and work from construction drawings, ensuring accurate dimensions, levels, and alignment. Coordinate daily tasks, allocate manpower, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Assist in material planning for carpentry works and report shortages to the site engineer. Liaise with civil engineers, site supervisors, and other trades to resolve technical and workflow issues. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, particularly in an electrical substation environment. Train and guide carpentry staff to improve workmanship and productivity. Prepare daily activity reports and update supervisors on site progress.

Requirements

Minimum

5-7 years

of carpentry experience, including at least

3 years in a supervisory/foreman role

. Prior experience in

substation, power plant, or industrial construction projects

is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of formwork systems, shuttering techniques, and finishing carpentry. Ability to read civil and structural drawings. Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Understanding of site safety procedures and willingness to enforce compliance.
