The Carpentry Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of carpentry teams engaged in the fabrication, installation, and repair of wooden fixtures, furniture, and structures. The role ensures work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, guide, and coordinate carpentry teams in daily operations.
Interpret and execute technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Plan materials, tools, and manpower required for each project.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company quality standards and client specifications.
Monitor productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Maintain safety standards and ensure all workers follow HSE policies.
Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and other departments for smooth workflow.
Train and mentor junior carpenters and new team members.
Manage attendance, discipline, and performance of the carpentry workforce.
Prepare daily progress reports and material requisitions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or ITI Certificate in Carpentry or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong technical knowledge of carpentry tools, machinery, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and quality standards.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in furniture manufacturing, joinery, or interior fit-out industry.
Familiarity with CNC, panel saw, and edge banding machines.
