The

Carpenter

is responsible for performing a variety of woodworking, repair, and maintenance tasks across assigned facilities. The role involves fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing wooden structures, furniture, partitions, doors, and fixtures, ensuring high-quality finishes and compliance with safety and facility management standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry works including cutting, shaping, assembling, and installing wooden structures, partitions, and furniture. Perform maintenance and repair of doors, cabinets, shelves, flooring, ceilings, and wooden fixtures. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements to complete assigned tasks. Operate woodworking machines, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently. Ensure quality finishes, polishing, and adjustments to meet client and facility standards. Inspect, diagnose, and repair defective woodwork or fixtures. Assist in preparing materials, cost estimates, and time schedules for carpentry tasks. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Comply with company policies, safety standards, and UAE regulations at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Certificate / ITI / Diploma in Carpentry or equivalent trade certification. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

as a Carpenter, preferably within facility management or maintenance services in the UAE. Proficiency in operating woodworking tools, machines, and finishing equipment. Strong knowledge of different types of wood, laminates, and finishing techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately. Good communication skills in English. Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and safety awareness.

Working Conditions

On-site role in Abu Dhabi facilities. Requires flexibility for shift work, overtime, and emergency call-outs. * Physical ability to lift, carry, and work with heavy wooden materials and tools.
