Job Description

The Role: The Foreman is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of all farm operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time, and economically along with managing equipment and materials required. This involves ensuring all Company regulations are implemented, that all required documentation is completed as necessary, and supervising all recording daily work on site according to the instruction of the section manager or the farm veterinarian. Key Responsibilities: 1. Oversees the whole farm operations, coordinating, facilitating, and performing livestock and production activities, which will include coordinating the feeding and care of camels as appropriate for meeting farm objectives, at the Bulaida farm and Al-Taween Farm as directed by the camel section manager and the veterinarian. 2. Participates in the planning, preparation, and execution of farm operations as directed by the camel section manager and the veterinarian. 4. Assists with following farm protocol and monitoring activities by following verbal and written protocols assigned by the farm manager and/or veterinarian and communicating effectively with the workers to make them understand their specific roles and duties. 5. Participates in training, mentoring, and supervising farm workers working with livestock and performing other farm duties. 6. Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. 7. Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as required. 8. Supports the overall success of the Bulaida Farm camel section by performing all other duties as assigned. 9. Actively participate and fill up any supervisor\xe2\x80\x99s role in their absence. 10. Actively coordinate with the admin and veterinary assistant to facilitate the farm operations smoothly. 11. Ensure the smooth routine operation of the farm under his supervision. 12. Assign staff on daily basis for specific tasks as instructed by the camel section manager, veterinarian, and special needs of the farm. 13. Prepare holiday and day off schedules and keep attendance records. 14. Ensure the staff is doing their job: supervise the work of milking, feeding, cleaning, and breeding supervisors. 15. Supervise animal behavior, well-being, and general health and report any abnormalities to veterinary assistants, veterinarians, and section manager. 16. Supervise general maintenance and keeps contact with maintenance staff and administration. 17. Supervise animal movements in, out, and within the farm between different units. 18. Communicate in any matters between senior staff and laborers of the department. 19. Keep appropriate records required by the camel section manager and veterinarian as per farm requirements. 20. Supervise the disinfection and cleaning of people, animals, facilities, vehicles, and equipment according to the Working instructions. 21. Supervise the proper handling and disposal of discarded milk, and hazardous and domestic wastes generated on the farm. 23. To perform any other duties related to his/ her position required by the Management. Supervision: The Farm Foreman is directly supervised by the camel section manager and the camel section veterinarian. In the absence of both, he should follow the instructions of the farm manager or any other veterinarian designated by the farm manager. Requirements 1. Al least 10 years experience working in any reputed camel milking farm. 2. Enjoy working outdoors, in all weather conditions. 3. Practical and hardworking 4. Diligence and organizational ability 5. Independent, responsible, and self-disciplined 6. Some mechanical aptitude (Have knowledge about milking machines) 7. Must have a valid manual car driving license. 8. Must have extensive knowledge of milking camels. 9. Can perform the duties of a veterinary assistant if needed. Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED1.00 - AED2.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
