Job Overview:

As a Cake Decorator, you will use freehand technique as well as kits and tools to decorate cakes and other baked goods. Some designs will be standard creations for our display, while others are customized according to the customer specifications. You must be able to take direction and adhere to strict food preparation guidelines. Proper handling and storage of equipment's are required at all times. You will also be responsible for cleaning the decorating area before you start and after you are done.

1- Prepare display cakes on daily basis when customized cakes are done.

2- Designing and decorating cakes in different styles.

3- Maintaining cleanliness of the workstation at all times.

4- Fulfilling customers requests and special orders like wedding cakes on time.

5- Determining cake prices as per the design requirements.

6- Suggesting suitable cake designs and decoration options especially on events such as Mothers Day, Christmas and Valentine.

7- Maintaining an inventory of cake decorating items and ingredients.

8- Assisting the pastry chef and other team members with cakes and pastry decorations as well as cake filling.

9- Abiding the the health and safety standards in designing cakes.

10- Ensuring artistic and appealing cake designs.

11- Checking the shelf life of cake decoration products, colors, and accessories.

12- Using decorating and modeling techniques and tools for creating intricate designs.

13- Checking and placing decoration product reorders with purchase department.
