Job Summary:

The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the cafeteria, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, staff management, and customer satisfaction. This role involves overseeing daily food service operations, managing inventory and suppliers, planning menus, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day cafeteria operations including food preparation, service, cleanliness, and maintenance. Plan and update menus in coordination with chefs/cooks, ensuring nutritional balance and variety. Monitor food quality and customer satisfaction, taking prompt action on feedback or complaints. Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are strictly followed. Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate cafeteria staff performance. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain accurate stock records. Handle budgeting, cost control, and daily cash flow reports. Implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase sales (if applicable). Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely delivery of high-quality supplies. Maintain cafeteria equipment and request maintenance or replacements as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience (3+ years) in food service management or cafeteria operations. Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of food nutrition, hygiene, and food safety regulations. Proficiency in POS systems and inventory software is a plus.

Work Conditions:

Full-time position. Flexible to work weekends and holidays if required. Requires standing for long hours and managing a fast-paced environment.
