Job Summary:

The Cafe Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cafe to ensure excellent customer service, high-quality products, and efficient team performance. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining standards, monitoring inventory, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:1. Operations Management

Supervise daily cafe operations to ensure smooth workflow and consistent service quality. Ensure all opening and closing procedures are followed correctly. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across all cafe areas. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational.

2. Staff Supervision & Training

Lead, motivate, and support the cafe team to achieve performance and service goals. Assist in staff scheduling, attendance tracking, and task delegation. Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing staff on service standards, POS use, and product knowledge. Encourage teamwork and a positive work environment.

3. Customer Service

Greet and interact with customers professionally and warmly. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints efficiently. Ensure consistent product presentation and service excellence.

4. Inventory & Stock Control

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the storekeeper or kitchen for timely replenishment. Oversee daily sales reporting and cash handling procedures. Minimize waste and control product usage to meet cost targets.

5. Quality & Compliance

Ensure adherence to cafe standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines. Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Maintain accurate records related to operations, sales, and incidents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within a cafe or restaurant. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Good knowledge of food & beverage operations and POS systems. Ability to multitask and perform under pressure. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
