Job Responsibilities: CAD Draughtsman

Position Overview:

The CAD Draughtsman at IMPACT will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, blueprints, and documentation to support the design and execution of interior projects. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with designers and project teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting and Technical Documentation:

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, including plans, sections, and elevations, based on design requirements. Create accurate technical documentation for manufacturing, installation, and construction purposes. Revise and update drawings as required by project managers or designers.

Design Collaboration:

Work closely with interior designers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements. Translate conceptual designs into technical drawings while ensuring all details are accurately represented. Ensure the designs meet client specifications and industry standards.

Material and Product Detailing:

Provide precise joinery, material, and furniture detailing for projects. Specify measurements, materials, and finishes to align with project designs.

Quality Assurance:

Verify the accuracy of drawings and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Identify and rectify any discrepancies in drawings or designs.

Project Coordination:

Coordinate with site teams to clarify technical details and address on-site queries. Ensure timely delivery of drawings to meet project schedules.

Documentation Management:

Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project-related documentation. Provide regular updates on drawing status to project teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Diploma or degree in Architectural Drafting, CAD Design, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum

3 years

of experience as a CAD Draughtsman in the interior design or construction industry.

Technical Proficiency:

Expertise in

AutoCAD

and familiarity with 3D modeling software like

SketchUp

or

Revit

. Knowledge of building codes, standards, and interior detailing.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
