Job Summary:
A CAD Draughtsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. They work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to produce accurate schematics for construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting & Design:

• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, blueprints, and schematics based on sketches, specifications, and calculations.
• Convert rough sketches and concepts into detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other CAD software.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

2. Collaboration & Revisions:

• Work with engineers, architects, and project managers to refine designs and resolve technical issues.
• Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to drawings as required.
• Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material specifications.

3. Documentation & Quality Control:

• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project files.
• Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design standards.
• Ensure proper file naming, version control, and archiving of project documents.

4. Software & Technology:

• Stay updated with the latest CAD software and drafting techniques.
• Recommend improvements in design processes and tools for efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Certification:

• Diploma/Degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Certification in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other CAD software (preferred).

Experience:

• [X] years of experience as a CAD Draughtsman in [construction, manufacturing, MEP, etc.].
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidEdge, etc.).
• Strong understanding of engineering/architectural principles.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in drafting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily office-based, but may require site visits for measurements.
• Full-time position with standard working hours (occasional overtime if needed).
