Job Title: - Buyer/Category Manager- Product development and sourcing Reporting to: - CEO Location: - JAFZA Job Profile

• Gather feedback from stores regarding product lines, availability and layout.
• Creation and pricing of new inventions, ability to introduce novel ideas, and strong pricing and negotiating abilities
• A strong knowledge of production and labor costs to bring a product to market
• Understands the product, production and pricing
• Strong business acumen, including an excellent grasp of how costs affect profits.
• Source stocks from a Far East supply base.
• Identify new suppliers from different countries for different product categories and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure that all of the providers we are working with have NDAs in place.
• Strong negotiating skills with vendors on terms, production planning and product price.
• Ability to manage production requirements, PO placement and inventory in conjunction with the

Supply Chain department.

• Lead the procurement journey from product innovation till buying.
• Coordinate with the product development team/ design team of the vendors and approve the products and designs based on the specifications and quality standards given.
• Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends
• Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase
• Attend events, fairs and exhibitions to remain up-to-date with the market\xe2\x80\x99s trends
• Manage sample approvals and library
• Strong commercial awareness and product knowledge within the category.
• Forecast usage of stocked items in liaison with key customers and internal sales team and ensure timely purchase.

Experience & Skills Essential 7+ years of similar role

• Experienced in buying and product development of Bags, luggage, electronics, furniture, toys, stationery with range development experience (not necessarily all)
• Experience working in China, India, or a comparable country.
• Experience working with license/ip holders
• Strong commercial and market awareness

Skills

• Excellent attention to detail; able to analyze data and spot trends
• A confident communicator and relationship builder with strong negotiation skills
• A good eye to develop great products
• Gaming knowledge is a plus
