Business Development & Strategic Planning Manager-METAP
Responsible for supporting business development projects and strategic initiatives for METAP region and will be working closely with regional management, country GMs and corporate functions
Be part of the strategic planning process and involved in the preparation of long-range strategies and action plans
Scout for new portfolio and business development opportunities that are in line with the strategic plan outlined for the region
Track and analyze industry trends, market and competitor events and changes in health care reforms that will impact country strategies, business development priorities and market forecasts
Conduct detailed market analyses and dedicated research including, assessing the potential of new products, preparing business cases and supporting their presentation to management team
Ensure successful coordination of different functions (Marketing, Sales, IT, Medical, and Legal) in business development and strategic projects
Ensure compliance with relevant Acts, legal demands, ethical standards, Corporate Business and Safety Procedures and Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
Your Qualification
University Degree preferably in engineering, business administration, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a Medical Field
A deep understanding and knowledge of principles and practices of the pharmaceutical industry
4-5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry in following fields; business development, strategic planning, portfolio management, or business analytics
Strong experience with IMS data assets (i.e. MIDAS, local databases, Rx data, etc.)), Tableau, dashboard creation and management, report generation, forecasting and business case preparation
Able to work in a cross-functional environment with strong project management skills; proven expertise in project planning, coordination and stakeholder management; capable of managing diverse deliverables across multiple complex projects at the same time
Fluency in English; proficiency in MS Office applications and third-party pharmaceutical data platforms
