JOB PURPOSE
Drive sales activities to explore business opportunities, contribute in sales growth and increase the annual revenue of Marjan Industrial Development. Promote and prequalify existing and new principal?EUR(TM)s engineering products/technical services. Indentify new/prospective accounts for small to medium sized activities within the energy sector, generate business enquiries and ensure maximum conversion into purchase and service orders. ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Accountabilities

  • Sales: Maintain and establish new clients for the promotion and sales of assigned products range to generate sustainable business relationship with overseas principals and manufacturers. Prepare and submit quotations to clients and review cost and sales performance based on the assigned target on monthly and quarterly basis to ensure sales objectives and forecast are met.
  • Pre-sales & Aftersales: Provide pre-sales and after sales support activities to client and organize sales visit program on regular basis with end users, contracts engineers and purchasers.
  • Tenders: Prepare small and medium sized offers/tenders, prequalification and techno-commercial proposals in coordination with line manager, overseas manufacturers and principals to maximize conversion of enquiries into purchase and service orders.
  • Relationship Management: Network with existing and prospective customers, build and maintain long lasting relationships. Meet with principal?EUR(TM)s representatives on a regular basis and maintain positive relationships to receive feedback/information on new products/services, discusses order quantities and delivery schedules to efficiently support customer requirements.
  • Market Analysis: Carry out market intelligence activities to monitor competition, industry/market trends, build and maintain an active data base of upcoming oil/gas and petrochemical projects. Follow up, investigate business opportunities and share data with the line management to facilitate timely bidding for tenders.
Job Specific Information
  • Sales Engineer will closely work with the line manager and handle a techno-commercial role to manage assigned accounts and principals which are categorized under different technical disciplines and activities within oilfield supplies and services industries.
Qualification (e.g. Academic Qualification, Certifications, Licenses)
  • Bachelor?EUR(TM)s Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Oil & Gas or equivalent.
  • 7 - 8 years of minimum experience in oil& gas and energy processing industry; out of which 3 years experience in technical sales related to oil/gas's products, tools & equipments.
  • 2 years of experience in plant operation and maintenance of any of the energy processing segment.
