With a staggering $880 million in committed capital, they have established a thriving business providing innovative energy solutions to commercial and industrial customers. Their strategy revolves around customer-centric initiatives, technology adaptability, and comprehensive coverage across the Middle East and Africa. As an experienced Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind identifying, developing, and securing new commercial and industrial (C&I) opportunities in North Africa. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, your proven track record in the renewable energy sector will enable you to expand our client's regional presence and foster critical relationships with strategic developers, EPCs, and renowned renewable energy contractors and developers Your mission will involve formulating and executing a strategic sales strategy for North Africa, intricately aligned with overarching business objectives. You will spearhead the origination and development of C&I projects, with a sharp focus on solar PV, battery energy storage, biomass to steam, and other cutting-edge renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Building and nurturing robust partnerships with strategic developers and EPCs in the region will be essential to your triumph. Embracing the full spectrum of business development, you will undertake key responsibilities, encompassing potential client identification, engagement, due diligence, and strategic client management. Your expertise in negotiating and finalizing agreements, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management (EPCM), and Operations and Maintenance (O&M), will be paramount to your triumph. If you possess an unwavering drive, coupled with exceptional project management and development skills, and possess well-established relationships with EPCs, strategic developers, and distinguished renewable energy contractors and developers in North Africa, this opportunity awaits you. Your contributions will play an instrumental role in propelling the renewable energy landscape of North Africa forward. The role will commence in Nairobi for an approximate duration of six months before transitioning to North Africa, with Egypt being a likely destination.
