Beyond Covid-19, G42 Healthcare is also developing a wide range of activities to support the health of future generations - ranging from genomics, environmental sciences, advanced diagnostics to digitization programs, manufacturing and cutting-edge research.

G42 Healthcare is the facilitator for the 1 million Emirati Genome Programme. With one of the largest next generation sequencing facilities in the world, we can deliver over 10,000 whole genome sequences a week. This massive genomic sequencing capability is accompanied by an aggressive growth strategy in other omics, including proteomics.

G42 Healthcare set up Biogenix Lab, ISO & CAP accredited, with a massive throughput capacity to become the biggest genomics lab in the region leveraging the power of the most advanced WGS and WES technology for Clinical Genetic Testing and soon Consumer Genomics.

Biogenix Lab works with highly established research capabilities that allow it to offer innovative diagnostic solutions. It's a highly reliable and innovative state-of-the-art laboratory with a differentiated and broad product offering centered around high-quality genetic testing. Near future developments will include liquid biopsy, consumer genomics expansion, clinical proteomics, and POC medical-graded diagnostics, among others.

Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will be accountable for sales in our diagnostics business. This is a role that combines hands on sales management, business development, growing a sales team, developing commercial strategy and delivering a clear, competitive offering to our local / regional / international clients. This is a dynamic, fast-paced and customers-facing role in liaison with operations, bioinformatics and technology. The role will be working closely with our global partners dedicated business development staff and will receive joint training / support.

You will understand client needs across government, research institutes, hospitals, big pharma and other entities delivering best in class commercial proposals and taking opportunities from early lead to contract and invoice.

The ideal candidate will:

Be accountable to achieve annual sales objectives with effective forecasting / planning / execution across all channels (B2G, B2B and B2C) for the Diagnostic business

Be able to cross sell the entire G42 Healthcare portfolio leveraging the appropriate internal specialists (Biobanking, Omics, CRO services, Environmental Sciences, Digital Health)

Grow an international, healthy and diverse commercial pipeline for G42 Healthcare diagnostics services and products

Draft / review / negotiate commercial proposals for tenders, RFPs, RFIs or other engagements in tight collaboration with commercial finance, SMEs, AI and Tech teams, plus other relevant support functions

Establish and control prices by monitoring margins, competition, and short / long term business opportunities.

Manages, develops and grows team of Business Development Managers, Sales Executives, Regulatory, Distributors and satellite G42 offices

Reports into Sales Director for G42 Healthcare

Support strategic planning and in-depth diagnostic landscape mapping to identify key global opportunities for partnerships and commercial collaborations

Work closely with our global partners and their dedicated technical business development managers to grow and secure sales across industry, government, universities, startup or other client entities

Own relationships and attend global events to engage with key opinion leaders and promote the visibility of the unique G42 Healthcare offering in Diagnostics.

Support market research to proactively identify possible partners of interest in areas of priority

Travel up to 50% of time depending on need

Work flexibly and with a commercial and service-oriented mentality, to identify opportunity and/or support excellence and growth across the business.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have a solid experience in diagnostic commercial roles, preferably with MENA regional and international experience in developing and selling advanced diagnostic / clinical genomics tests and other related services.

The ideal candidate will be based in the UAE.

8/10 yrs successful experience in driving sales for diagnostic and clinical genetics services

Track record of commercial success in technical fields of health, and/or life science field ideally with postgraduate degree in related subject

Good technical and excellent commercial understanding of diagnostic and clinical genetics, including pricing, tendering, and relevant analytics

Superior written, verbal and presentation skills including drafting of commercial proposals, RFPs, decks and other collateral

Solid people management skills to develop and grow team profile, skills, attitude and capabilities

Track record of on the ground business development with ability to generate leads in new environments and structure teams

International / regional network of clients that consume diagnostic and clinical genetics services

Ability to liaise with executives, medical, biomedical, scientific, commercial and government stakeholders

Ability or strong willingness to capture, discover and nurture opportunity in ambiguous spaces

Champions flexibility, resilience and discipline to withstand pressure and working against tight deadlines
