ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented individual with exceptional charisma and a profound track record in client strategic leadership and fostering new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a rare blend of creativity, analytical prowess, and a keen commercial mindset.
The Business Development Director will play a pivotal role in cultivating and strengthening relationships with digital marketing practitioners and Marketing Directors. Your primary responsibility will involve guiding opportunities from their inception through to final commercial negotiations, with a significant contribution to delivering compelling pitches.
You will collaborate closely with clients, transforming their challenges into innovative solutions alongside the client teams. This multifaceted role entails crafting written and verbal pitch responses, along with devising strategies to maintain ongoing dialogue with potential clients beyond formal pitch phases. Throughout the pitch process, the Director will engage experts from various departments within Croud to cohesively deliver solutions. A pivotal aspect of the role will involve synthesizing insights from channel experts into compelling narratives that effectively drive our business-winning endeavors.
The Business Development Director plays a critical role in shaping Croud\'s service offerings by gathering market feedback and crafting strategies to effectively communicate our products. This responsibility necessitates close collaboration with marketing, lead generation, and channel teams. Furthermore, this position presents an opportunity to contribute insights that influence the future evolution of the agency, fostering a seamless integration of ideas across various facets of the business.
Please note Croud operates a hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days a week based in our Dubai office and the remaining days from home if you wish.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Pipeline Ownership: Lead client interactions from initial introduction to final commercial negotiations
RFP Process Management: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals for major accounts, ensuring a winning edge
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with in-house marketing teams, comprehensively understanding client business challenges and strategising how Croud solutions can address them
Success Metrics Ownership: Drive improvements in pitch win rates and average deal sizes, continually refining strategies for enhanced performance
Portfolio Management: Manage relationships with relevant third-party intermediaries, fostering partnerships and collaborations
Effective Sales Material: Develop and maintain targeted, updated, and impactful sales collateral with consistent messaging, adhering to the WWW (What, Why, What) process for clear action plans
Product Portfolio Understanding: Deeply understand and communicate the value proposition across Croud\'s product portfolio
Sales Objection Feedback: Analyse and incorporate feedback from sales objections into proposition development across MENA markets
Pitch Contribution: Contribute to pitch material, particularly in cross-channel areas, ensuring a cohesive and compelling narrative
Technology Integration: Identify opportunities to introduce cutting-edge techniques and technology to client accounts
Regional Travel: Be open to travel across the region as needed for business engagements.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
A minimum of 7+ years in sales and/or digital marketing, demonstrating a robust background in presenting digital solutions to clients and conducting successful pitches
Compelling Storytelling: Proficient in verbal and written communication, adept at crafting engaging narratives to effectively communicate the benefits of our services across various mediums
Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of comprehending client challenges and formulating innovative solutions that align with our offerings
Autonomous and Strategic Thinker: Possesses the ability to independently identify opportunities, generate creative ideas, and devise strategic approaches to capitalise on them
