Job Description
Our client is a one of the world’s largest independent energy and commodity groups focusing primarily on energy commodities from Crude and Refined oil products, to power & gas, coal and emissions, through to freight, metals, and agricultural products. They are looking for a proactive and driven Business Analyst with a Technology focused background within a Commodity trading or Risk environment, with a proven ability to translate business requirements to IT, and a desire to identify and develop strategic solutions. As a Business Analyst, you will ideally have the following skill set/ experience:

- Significant years of Commodities, Financial Services, Asset Management, or Risk Management experience in a trading environment.
- Understanding of market data including forward curves and volatility surfaces, and their utilization in quantitative modelling and pricing for risk metrics and reporting.
- Understanding of VaR and Market risk, and its execution within a Commodities Trading Environment.
- Knowledge of different OTC and Exchange traded tools and their trade lifecycles.
- Excellent documentation skills and experience of creating requirements in an Agile friendly manner such as user stories.
