Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive for breakfast service, escorting them to their tables and providing menus.
- Assist guests with menu selections, offering recommendations and answering questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Take guests\' orders accurately and enter them into the POS system, ensuring special requests and dietary preferences are noted and communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, carrying trays or plates as needed and ensuring proper presentation and garnishing.
- Check back with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction, replenish beverages, and offer additional items or condiments.
- Anticipate guests\' needs and respond promptly to requests for refills, extra napkins, or other amenities, demonstrating a proactive and attentive approach to service.
- Clear tables efficiently, removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils, and resetting tables for the next guests.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as slicing fruit, toasting bread, or pouring beverages, as needed to support the kitchen and service staff.
- Collaborate with other members of the breakfast team, including cooks, hosts/hostesses, and to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices, to ensure a safe and hygienic dining environment.
- Previous experience as a server in a restaurant, cafe, or hotel setting, with a strong understanding of food and beverage service principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly and outgoing personality, with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service.
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the needs of the business.
- Professional appearance with a neat and well-groomed appearance.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including familiarity with breakfast menu items and procedures, is advantageous.
