KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Buccellati is a renowned Italian high-jewelry Maison founded in , admired for its craftsmanship and the uniqueness of its creations. Today, the Buccellati jewels stand out for their design and for the techniques used to create them, such as the hand-engraving technique, dating back to the ancient goldsmithing traditions of the Italian "bottega" during the Renaissance times.

Buccellati has been part of the Global Luxury Group Richemont since September , but the Buccellati family is still present in the Company with top-level managerial functions.

Buccellati boutiques are present in the most important cities and in the most prestigious Malls of the world.

As part of its strategic development in the Middle East, Buccellati Maison is looking for a Brand Manager, capable to handle the development of Maison Buccellati in this area.

Your mission :

The Brand Manager of Buccellati Middle East is in charge of the development of the brand within its territory. It comprises the supervision of the sales network development (retail, wholesale, and distributors), the setting of the strategic goals in agreement with Buccellati Holding Italia Management, the elaboration of the communication strategy as well as the complete responsibility over the local P&L.

The Brand Manager is in charge of meeting KPIs that are agreed upon with the International Management at the occasion of regular meetings.

The Brand Manager of Buccellati Middle East heads the local Board of Directors and is the brand representative in the territories he/she is in charge of.

Key Responsibilities :

Network development - commercial policy

Retail:

In all the below targets, the Brand Manager is supported by the Boutique Managers / Directors and their teams. * Network development: Identification of future boutique locations, negotiations with the landlords of the lease terms, design and construction of the boutiques in cooperation with the BHI Management team.

  • Commercial targets: set up of sales budgets per boutique.
  • Retail team management: definition of the adequate sales force per boutique, supervision of the hiring and animation of the individual boutique teams, monitoring of performances (including remuneration aspects), supervision of the training plan, leading the implementation of qualitative development programs.
  • Responsible for the compliance and integrity of the retail network with Buccellati International guidelines.
  • Development of personal relationships with key VIPs.
Wholesale :

In the initial stages, the wholesale part of the business will be managed from the headquarter. At a second stage, the Brand Manager may be required to work on the following in coordination with the BHI Management team: * Opening and closing of doors.
  • Supervision of the negotiations with retailers.
  • Supervision of the implementation of the Buccellati commercial policy (price structure, receivables, discounts, training of retailers' sales force, location of Buccellati creations in the stores, visual merchandising,...).
  • Network animation, yearly action plan per retailer, including sales targets.
  • Monitoring of the profitability per POS.
Marketing & Communication:

In all the below tasks, the Brand Manager is supported by a Communication / PR Agency. * Guides & Supervises and follows up on the implementation of the strategic plan.
  • Supervises the setup and the implementation of the media plan. Participates in key meetings with the advertising agency. Develops personal relations with key media owners and publishers.
  • Supervises the monitoring of competitors' activities (sales, boutique opening, development, PR activities,...).
  • Defines the main PR and launching events. Leads the activity of the brand through relevant interviews, participation in PR, and launching events. He knows personally the key journalists in the publications relevant to the brand.
  • Develops relationships with key trendsetters and opinion leaders for them to express a good perception of the brand.
HR:

The Brand Manager is in charge of hiring and developing the local team.

Works on the proper remuneration package standards in line with International HR.

Defines the job gradings in coordination with Buccellati Holding Italia & Richemont Middle East.

Develops a strong team spirit that encompasses the values of the brand. Encourages staff retention and satisfaction, and supervises the setup and the implementation of the training plan.

Finance:

In charge of the local P&L, as well as the management of the account receivables, the stock targets, and the respect of the boutique's individual 5-year plan. He/She is supported in this management by the local Richemont & International Buccellati finance & control teams.

After Sales Service:

Set up the local after-sales service policy (service centers, price structure,...) in line with BHI recommendations.

Support functions:

In collaboration with BHI teams, the Brand Manager works with the proper local Richemont support (Finance, IT, HR, ASS, Administration, Logistics) to achieve the brand targets within the territory.

Job profile :

The incumbent must be a professional with at least 10 years of International Managerial experience including in the Middle East.

MBA graduate with a deep knowledge of luxury, sensitivity to cultural differences, and understanding of International cultures would be a definite advantage.

Dynamic, self-starter, able to devise a project and deliver it despite a challenging environment.

Fluency in English is compulsory. Arabic and/or Italian is an advantage.
