Principal Accountabilities

  • Planning and Forecasting. Financial business partner for the portfolio of brands \xe2\x80\x93 as such supporting the definition of brand strategy and achieving targets set within operational plan/3 yrs value creation plan
  • Portfolio Strategy and Insights. Develop strategic partnership with the portfolio team through focus on understanding the competitive/market landscape, uncover opportunities for growth and further understand the customer environment
  • Finance Business Partner Market GMs and team for portfolio strategy within all MEA markets.
  • Partner with SRM and the local organization to support and roll out ROI models and best practices to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities and ideal pricing strategy to drive value creation
  • Partner with SRM and Marketing and the local organization to drive portfolio mix as per business strategy
  • Initiate, lead, and manage projects which will improve current business processes and deliver against strategy; as such partner in big launches or portfolio changes and in post-review of launches
  • Establish and drive digital tools/reporting and a value creation mindset within the organization
  • Support in ad-hoc brand activities via financial evaluation and recommendations
  • Post implementation and launch reviews
  • Responsible for Advertising, Consumer promotion and Display budgeting process
  • S&OP+ support. Participate in and act as a key member of the Portfolio Management review step (PMR) of the Mars S&OP+ framework.
  • Lead the transformation and Change Management to the Future end state Brand Business Partnership as a Insights generator and strategy finance business partner by transforming the processes, digitizing it and leading change management across Marketing/CBU team and Sales/Markets for all MEA markets.
  • Lead data quality workstream to improve the processes and financial data
  • Work with global team and MGSF on OSOT from the Impact on Brands across the Markets and total MEA portfolio

Functional Competencies/Knowledge

  • Strong analytical capabilities and in-depth understanding of business/financial interrelationships between sales strategies, pricing, volumes, and cost structure. Understanding of basic internal financial measures such as Cash and Earnings.
  • Cost Accounting and Budget Management - understanding internal cost structures and practices. Understand the relationship between different costs and cost drivers. Ability to drive cross-functional teams to deliver cost reduction programs.
  • Analysis and Evaluation of Business Activities - Advanced expertise in the areas of Competitor Analysis and Benchmarking, Trend Analysis/Modeling and Evaluation, and Scorecarding/Metrics.
  • Statutory Accounting - The knowledge and application of Accounting Policies and Principles, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, applicable local government regulations, and transaction processing systems to meet business reporting requirements to provide timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
  • Financial Control - The knowledge and application of business processes, internal control concepts and practices, and auditing techniques to ensure cost effective protection of business assets and approval of business activities at the appropriate level in the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or related field
  • 10+ years of diversified financial management experience, including forecasting, planning, transformation and change management.
  • Demonstrated analytical and insights capabilities and ability to manage without authority
