The Bodyshop Insurance Estimator is responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair estimates, and coordinating with customers, technicians, and insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of collision repair processes, estimating software, and insurance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and necessary repairs
Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using estimating software (e.g., Audatex, CCC ONE, Mitchell)
Communicate with insurance adjusters to ensure estimates are approved and claims are processed efficiently
Coordinate with bodyshop technicians to ensure repair plans are understood and followed
Provide clear, professional communication to customers about the repair process, timelines, and insurance coverage
Follow up on pending insurance approvals and supplement claims
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all repairs and estimates
Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards
Assist with scheduling vehicle repairs and workflow planning when needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Bodyshop Estimator
Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and insurance procedures
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Valid driver's license required
Compensation:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience
as a Bodyshop Estimator or in a related role in the collision repair industry
Performance-based incentives or commission (if applicable)
