Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Specialist Civil (Luxury Projects) to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
1. BIM Model Development & Management:
Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for civil works, including infrastructure, site grading, utilities, roads, drainage systems, and structural elements.
Ensure that all civil engineering models are integrated with other disciplines (architecture, MEP, landscape etcxe2x80xa6) to support the high-quality standards of luxury projects.
Perform clash detection to resolve conflicts in design and construction documentation.
2. Coordination & Collaboration:
Collaborate with project architects, structural engineers, MEP specialists, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of civil designs.
Ensure that the civil model aligns with the aesthetic and functional requirements of luxury construction projects.
Lead coordination meetings to address civil-related design and construction issues and provide BIM-based solutions.
3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide ongoing technical support to the project team for BIM-related tasks, including the use of Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and related software.
Resolve technical issues related to the civil BIM model, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of project data.
Conduct regular audits of the BIM model to maintain high-quality documentation and adherence to project standards.
4. Documentation & Deliverables:
Produce detailed construction drawings, schedules, and documentation directly from the BIM model, ensuring precision and clarity.
Ensure all civil documentation complies with local building codes, engineering standards, and luxury project specifications.
5. BIM Standards & Best Practices:
Ensure that all civil BIM models adhere to company BIM standards, luxury project requirements, and industry regulations (such as ISO 19650).
Implement best practices for model management, coordination, and data exchange, ensuring the smooth flow of information among project stakeholders.
6. Risk Management & Quality Control:
Identify potential design and construction risks related to civil works and propose mitigation strategies using BIM data.
Ensure that civil designs meet the highest quality standards, contributing to the exceptional finishing and detail required in luxury projects.
7. Training & Development:
Train and mentor project staff on civil BIM processes and software to promote efficient workflows.
Stay updated on new BIM technologies and civil engineering methods to incorporate innovative solutions in luxury construction projects.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 10-15 years of BIM experience, with at least 10 years working on luxury construction projects.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software.
Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure, utilities, site planning, grading, and drainage.
Experience in clash detection, model coordination, and the preparation of construction documentation.
Familiarity with local codes and regulations, including those for high-end developments.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and coordination abilities to liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
Detail-oriented, with a keen sense of luxury design aesthetics.
Proactive in identifying design challenges and offering practical, BIM-based solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification in BIM or Civil 3D (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
Experience working on luxury residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
Familiarity with landscape design and coordination for high-end developments.
