Role: BIM Coordinator (Infrastructure) We are currently looking for a number of BIM Coordinator (Infrastructure) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. Qualifications And Technical Competencies
- Experience of 3D design of highway and transportation infrastructure projects (roads, railways, airports, ports).
- BIM modelling for utilities design discipline like pressure pipe & gravity pipe systems as a sewerage, drainage, potable water, irrigation, duct crossings, HV, LV, sewerage, drainage, water, irrigation, street lighting, spare duct crossings, road markings & traffic signs etc.
- Civil 3D data shortcuts and reference objects – sharing surface, alignment, profile, pipe network, and view frame data
- Preparing road shop drawings for utility services drawings
- Create earthwork grading plan with grid elevation. Generate major and minor contours with elevation values and ogl value drawing.
- Create iso depth map, generate colour range and spot elevations on grid.
- Will ensure construction documents accuracy based on discipline BIM modeling and the collaboration and coordination with other disciplines for design-changes and model challenges.
- Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
- Understanding of NOC drawings for ADCM, DEWA, DM, Civil-Defense, Du, Etisalat experience in working with both consultants/contractors.
- Support BIM manager and project delivery team(s) in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.
- Provide progress and performance updates to BIM manager on fortnightly and monthly basis.
- Record, store and maintain all formal correspondences related to BIM activities.
- Must have solid understanding CDE platforms like BIM 360/ProjectWise.
- Ensure Project Information Model (PIM) are delivered in accordance with the agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocol.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the BIM manager design-changes and model challenges.
- Support BIM manager with planning and construction activities with proposed 4D sequencing model(s) review and progress reporting.
- Monitor and support the data collection process and validate Asset Information Model (AIM) with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) requirements for eg. Construction Operation Building Information Exchange (COBIE) and/or client specific requirements.
- Monitor and validate the As-Built model tagging with all related project documents e.g. The H&S file(s) and O&M manual(s) etc.
- A degree, ideally in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years BIM experience
- Proven infrastructure and / or utility project experience
- Experience working in a Design Consultancy and / or Contractor
- Extensive experience in Autodesk Civil 3D (Roads, Bridges, Utilities and Grading) including object & information modelling, alignments, pipe networks, GIS integration, Civil 3D Native Content Creation and Sub-Assemblies
- Working knowledge of Information Standards ISO 19650 (Parts 1 & 2 at a minimum), PAS 1192, BS1192, MIDP and TIDP creation and MIDP Automation
- Experience with the integration of GIS, Infraworks and Civil 3D workflows
- Knowledge of Survey methods reality capture and integration in infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of CDE platforms (BIM 360, ProjectWise, Aconex)
- Experience conducting clash detection and visual walkthroughs using NavisWorks Manage
- Experience creating/tailoring project setups to suit the client
