Job Overview:
A Fire and Safety Engineer is responsible for identifying potential hazards, designing fire protection systems, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with national and international safety standards. They work in industries such as construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: * Risk Assessment & Hazard Analysis:

• Identify fire and safety hazards in workplaces.
• Conduct risk assessments and suggest mitigation measures.
• Fire Protection System Design:

• Design and evaluate fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems (sprinklers, gas-based systems, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, BIS, and other safety standards.
• Safety Inspections & Audits:

• Perform regular safety inspections of facilities.
• Prepare audit reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Emergency Preparedness & Response:

• Develop emergency evacuation plans and conduct fire drills.
• Train employees on fire safety protocols and first aid.
• Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to local and international fire safety laws.
• Maintain documentation for safety certifications and permits.
• Incident Investigation:

• Analyze fire accidents and workplace incidents to determine causes.
• Recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Safety Training & Awareness:

• Conduct workshops on fire safety, hazardous material handling, and PPE usage.
• Promote a culture of safety within the organization.

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Fire & Safety Engineering or related field.
• Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, NFPA certifications (preferred).
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of fire dynamics, hazard control, and safety management systems.
• Proficiency in fire modeling software (e.g., FDS, PyroSim).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
