Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Barista with a background in high-end restaurant or cafe environments to join our team in the UAE. As a Barista in our office site-based cafe, you will be responsible for providing exceptional coffee and beverage experiences for our corporate clients and office staff. You will work within a dynamic, professional environment, contributing to the daily operation of a premium, on-site cafe designed to elevate the workplace experience for our employees and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Premium Coffee Service:

Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee and espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality with each order.

Customer Experience:

Deliver exceptional service by engaging with clients, understanding their preferences, and offering personalized coffee recommendations. Ensure a positive, professional, and friendly customer experience at all times.

Barista Expertise:

Utilize advanced coffee-making techniques, including manual brewing methods (e.g., pour-over, French press) and modern espresso machine operation, to create a wide range of coffee drinks.

Cafe Operations:

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, ensuring that all equipment (e.g., espresso machines, grinders) is regularly cleaned, maintained, and in good working condition.

Stock Management:

Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, tea, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Work with management to reorder items in a timely manner and minimize waste.

Quality Control:

Ensure all beverages are prepared to the highest quality standards. Maintain consistency in every cup served, regardless of the volume of orders or time of day.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols in line with UAE regulations, ensuring the cafe meets all cleanliness and food safety standards at all times.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the cafe team to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours. Assist with training junior baristas and other team members on coffee preparation and customer service skills.

Administrative Support:

Assist with cash handling, POS system operation, and maintaining records of sales and inventory.

Client Engagement & Feedback:

Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns or requests promptly and professionally. Seek feedback to improve the quality of service.

Qualifications:

Experience:

At least 2-4 years of experience as a Barista in a high-end cafe, specialty coffee shop, or luxury restaurant environment. Proven experience working with premium coffee beans and advanced brewing equipment is a must.

Barista Skills:

Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing methods. Familiarity with specialty coffee varieties and trends in the coffee industry is preferred.

Customer Service:

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse clientele. Demonstrated ability to provide a personalized and high-touch customer experience.

Attention to Detail:

Excellent focus on the quality, consistency, and presentation of beverages, ensuring every drink served is perfect.

Time Management:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Ability to handle high-volume periods without compromising service quality.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift supplies, and handle the physical demands of a barista role.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Barista training or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
