As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your role will involve a combination of customer interaction, beverage preparation, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Take customer orders, provide recommendations, and answer questions about menu items.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
2. Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, cappuccinos, lattes.
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality by following standard recipes and procedures.
- Operate coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and other related tools.
3. Cash Handling:
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately.
- Provide customers with receipts and handle any issues related to payment.
4. Cleanliness and Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the coffee preparation area, equipment, and customer seating areas.
- Follow hygiene and sanitation guidelines to ensure the cleanliness of utensils, equipment, and the overall workspace.
5. Stocking and Inventory:
- Monitor and restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other essential supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report shortages to management.
6. Menu Knowledge:
- Stay informed about the menu, including seasonal offerings and promotions.
- Educate customers about different coffee varieties and brewing methods.
7. Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
8. Adherence to Policies:
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Follow established guidelines for food handling and preparation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage preparation
- Basic Knowledge in espresso and
speciality coffee
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
