Key Responsibilities:
Coffee Preparation:
Expertly prepare a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, manual brews, and cold brews.
Mastery of manual brewing techniques such as pour-over, AeroPress, siphon, and Chemex.
Ensure consistent quality and taste in every cup, adhering to our brand standards.
Coffee Art:
Create intricate latte art and visually appealing presentations that enhance the customer experience.
Train and assist junior baristas in developing their coffee art skills.
Specialty Coffee:
Knowledge of specialty coffee beans, including sourcing, roasting profiles, and flavor profiles.
Educate customers and staff about the nuances of different coffee beans and brewing methods.
Assist in the selection of specialty beans for seasonal menus.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers to understand their preferences and make personalized recommendations.
Maintain a welcoming and clean environment in the cafe, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage coffee bean inventory, ensuring freshness and quality.
Assist in ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the cafe team to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for menu development and promotions.
Qualifications:
4-6 years of barista experience, with a focus on specialty coffee and manual brewing methods.
Proven expertise in latte art and coffee presentation.
In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasting, and brewing techniques.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
