The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages while providing excellent customer service. The role requires strong knowledge of coffee preparation, cleanliness standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages according to standard recipes
Operate coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of beverages
Provide friendly, professional, and prompt customer service
Take customer orders accurately and handle cash/POS transactions
Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the supervisor
Assist with opening and closing duties as required
Handle customer feedback or complaints politely and professionally
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred
Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and milk texturing is an advantage
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours
Team player with a positive attitude
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
