Position Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while delivering excellent customer service. The role ensures consistency in drink preparation, maintains cleanliness of the workstation, and supports overall cafe operations.

Prepare high-quality specialty coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, pour-over, cold brew, and signature drinks. Perform latte art with consistency and maintain high presentation standards for all beverages. Calibrate coffee grinders, monitor extraction times, and ensure proper brewing techniques. Maintain strong knowledge of coffee beans, origins, roasting profiles, and flavor notes. Provide excellent customer service, taking orders accurately and making product recommendations. Maintain cleanliness of the barista station, coffee machines, tools, and serving areas. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and barista supplies; report shortages when needed. Operate POS system for billing, cash handling, and order processing. Work effectively with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations. Train or support new staff on beverage preparation and cafe standards (if required). Handle customer feedback professionally and ensure a positive guest experience. Continuously stay updated with new coffee trends, brewing methods, and beverage innovations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Barista in a cafe or restaurant. Knowledge of coffee types, brewing techniques, and latte art (preferred). Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and peak hours.
