We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that every guest receives an exceptional experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the cafe, and providing outstanding service to our customers.
Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and standards.
Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
Handle cash transactions responsibly while ensuring accurate change is given.
Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks.
Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management.
Uphold the cafe's standards for quality control in both beverages and customer service.
Skills
Proven barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Strong time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently.
Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions.
Familiarity with food safety practices in the food industry.
Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
