The Senior Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, leading the barista team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The role includes training junior baristas, maintaining cafe standards, and supporting smooth daily operations while promoting a strong coffee culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve specialty coffee, teas, and other beverages to the highest standards.
Lead, supervise, and support the barista team during daily operations.
Train and mentor new baristas on coffee preparation, latte art, customer service, and hygiene practices.
Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.
Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and cafe supplies.
Maintain and troubleshoot coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment.
Provide excellent customer service, handle feedback, and resolve guest concerns promptly.
Support cafe promotions, upselling, and customer engagement activities.
Ensure adherence to HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
Assist management with staff scheduling and operational improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 3-4 years of barista experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, latte art, and cafe operations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of stock control and POS systems.
Passion for coffee culture and continuous learning.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
