The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while providing excellent customer service. The role ensures consistency in drink preparation, maintains a clean and welcoming cafe environment, and enhances the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages to company standards.
Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service at all times.
Educate customers on menu items, coffee beans, brewing methods, and recommend products.
Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other cafe equipment.
Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency in taste and appearance.
Handle cash, POS transactions, and maintain accurate billing records.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cafe, counters, and seating areas.
Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and replenishing supplies as needed.
Adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards (HACCP compliance).
Support the team during peak hours and contribute to smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing F&B role (1-2 years preferred).
Knowledge of coffee brewing methods, latte art, and cafe operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for coffee culture.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
