The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while ensuring excellent customer service. The role requires strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean and welcoming cafe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffees.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment with accuracy.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, equipment, and cafe area.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide product recommendations.
Assist in managing stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
Handle cash and POS transactions efficiently and accurately.
Support in cafe opening, closing, and daily operational tasks.
Provide a positive and engaging customer experience to build customer loyalty.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Barista in a cafe, restaurant, or specialty coffee shop.
Knowledge of coffee brewing methods (espresso, pour-over, French press, etc.).
Basic knowledge of latte art is an advantage.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
