The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while delivering excellent customer service. A mid-level barista is expected to have solid technical coffee knowledge, be skilled in latte art, and support junior team members in maintaining operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages consistently to company standards.
Demonstrate proficiency in brewing methods (e.g., espresso, pour-over, French press, cold brew).
Create and maintain high-quality latte art.
Provide professional, friendly, and attentive service to customers.
Take and process orders accurately using POS systems.
Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints politely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station and cafe area.
Follow health, hygiene, and safety standards in handling food and beverages.
Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, ensuring timely requisitions.
Assist in training and guiding junior baristas.
Share product knowledge and brewing techniques with team members.
Support supervisors in daily cafe operations when required.
Requirements:
Minimum
2-3 years of barista experience
in specialty coffee or cafe operations.
Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and cafe equipment.
Proven skill in latte art and coffee presentation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
